Other People's Treasures (OPT)

If you have items that you want to have someone else enjoy, please consider shipping or dropping them by the OPT at BASCon 10. Here are the guidelines to follow:

Other Peoples' Treasures Guidelines

1. The Other Peoples' Treasures (OPT) is open to sales of zines or crafts by the original publisher, maker, owner or authorized agent. Agents must have a signed letter stating they have permission to sell zines or crafts from the appropriate publisher(s).
2. All publishers or agents selling zines or crafts on the OPT must include a completed BASCon OPT Inventory Sheet with their shipment of zines, crafts or resale items. If additional space is needed, please use as many pages as needed. Just go to the website, download the form, fill it out, properly label all of the items with price and owner initials, and either ship it or drop it off to us at the con!
3. You do not have to be a member of BASCon to utilize the OPT.
4. Since BASCon is a small con, we suggest publishers or agents send no more than 10 each of their latest titles, and no more than five (5) each of their older titles. We suggest you also send fliers to be handed out if your zine(s) sell out.
5. A flat 15% commission will be charged for all zines or items sold on the OPT.
6. A check for sufficient return shipping costs plus insurance must be included with all items shipped for sale on the OPT. This check will be returned uncashed if (a) all your stock is sold, or (b) there is sufficient funds from sales of your items to cover return postage. If your sales won’t cover the cost of return shipment, then your postage check will be cashed. Any amount left after costs are met will be refunded.
7. Any unsold items and all payment checks will be sent within two weeks of the end of BASCon. Returned items will be shipped via UPS, unless otherwise requested.
8. Items shipped for sale on the OPT must be received no later than October 20, 2010. Ship items for the OPT (via UPS, Federal Express, USPS, etc.) to :

9. BASCon is not responsible for any shipments lost in the mail, nor for any shipments that arrive after the above shipping deadline of October 20th.
